About
DHTML menu problems can be consigned to the past using Alien Menus for:
superior performance
higher scalability
greater optical impact
faster development
true frame-crossing
Checkbox support now included with Enterprise version.
Basic checkbox command can be applied to any item.
Checkbox folders have triple-state logic, depending on whether all, none or some of
their descendents are checked.
Checkboxes have styles which suit the Alien Menus themes - e.g. recessed squares, tear-drop hemispheres,
plain circles.
Checkbox colour schemes follow menu item colour schemes - e.g. rollover colour changes.
Checkboxes can be specified as pre-checked before the menu starts.
Checkboxes can be grouped.
Exposed methods and action triggers exist to connect checkboxes up with user-defined client-side scripts, both being affected by and exerting effects on outside programmes as desired.
closeOnClick parameter (which is unofficial) now affects the menus if running with JRE 1.4+ (as well as non-Sun VM's). The default behaviour under JRE 1.4+ has been modified. This means submenus, if running under JRE 1.4, are more persistent when clicked.
A line-wrapping margins issue (when line-wrapping was used without icons in some menu types) has been resolved.
Version 1.20
Option to embed a LOAD command in the index, so that a menu item can trigger new menu content to load. (Enterprise version only).
A range of additional exposed methods have been added to the Enterprise version. (See API).
Consolidation of a large range of fixes and improvements issued incrementally since version 1.10. In particular, many of these modifications affect behaviour with Mac OSX.
